Holzhof

The Holzof was a timber storage area attached to the SS Central Building Management in the vicinity of the camps storage and utility areas. The timber yard was just outside the prisoner reception area of Auschwitz I and east of the Bauhof construction materials warehouse. The Holzof was surrounded by agricultural related structures such as stables, blacksmiths and cow sheds attached to the farm at Auschwitz I. The area just to its north was the fertiliser warehouses for farms that were under the control of the Auschwitz I administration such as Rajsko, Budy, Harmęże, Pławy and Babice.

Nothing exists of this area today as it forms part of the Auschwitz tourist car park and coach park.
