On the 14 March 2016 Stefania Zezza, the Auschwitz Study Group contributor, gave a talk on the Salonikan Jews during the Holocaust, Piedras ke avlan, at the HL Senteret in Oslo. Watch her lecture now.
The deportation of Jews from Salonika in Greece to KL Auschwitz started to take place from March 1943. The first one departed on 15 March and arrived to the camp on the 20th. Only 15-20% of all people primarly selected were admitted to the camp.
